At This Moment by Michael Bublé
... lovely old romantic Sunday song.

Rock Stars Have Kidnapped My Son.

Almost Famous is one of my all time faves. I'm infatuated with the cinematography, the fashion, the music, the actors and the stories. The background stories that went into creating the film are amazing too.
Featuring over 50 songs, the film's music budget was $3.5 million. Most music budgets for films are less than $1.5 million.

"This song explains why I'm leaving home to become a stewardess"

ugh. Billy Crudup is to die for.

"The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we're uncool."
-Lester Bangs

At the party, when he is on acid, Russell Hammond cries out, "I am a golden god!" This is a reference to Robert Plant of the band Led Zeppelin, who is purported to have said the same thing (sober) while looking over Sunset Strip from a hotel balcony.

Penny Lane asks William if he'd like to go to Morocco with her. He says, "Yes... ask me again." According to director Cameron Crowe, "ask me again" was Patrick Fugit stepping out of character and asking Kate Hudson to repeat her lines for another take. But Crowe liked the take as-is and kept it in the final cut.

Drink Me.

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

If you're lucky.

“Life isn’t divided into genres. It’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you’re lucky.”

Cosmic Love: Florence + The Machine

I took the stars from our eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you

Thx Thx Thx

ThxThxThx is my new internet infatuation. Leah Dieterich's mother always told her to write thank you notes, and so that is exactly what she does, every day. Here are some of my personal faves...

Dear Leah, thank you for ThxThxThx.

You don’t have a soul.

The City That Never Sleeps.

Love this. Reminds me of my dear roommate, Sarah Grace Ahn Shazbomb Muffins Charles Raymond.

Closet full of clothes, Nothing to wear.

Living in our "loft" apartment in New York City that we were somehow able to craft into a 3 bedroom apartment(luckily with a friend studying architecture and a "wall" building company), the 2 other lovely ladies I reside with and I are lucky enough to have 2 closets each (one for shoes, one for clothes, naturally). Unfortunately these closets are baby sized nonetheless and therefore I am left to fantasize about the closet I will probably never have...In a perfect world I would have Cher's digital closet from Clueless, but these might be a little more attainable one day.. fingers crossed.
